There are 2 ways to change the file permissions.
Fix File Ownership
Follow the steps below to change the file permissions using the Fix File Ownership option.
- Log in to your Bluehost Portal.
- In the left-hand menu, click Websites.
- Click the Manage button located next to the website you want to manage.

- Select Files and Access from the horizontal menu, look for Fix File Ownership. Click Manage.

- Click the tick box, and Confirm.

- The files and folders' permissions will be restored to the default settings.
Via File Manager
Follow the steps below to change the file permissions using the Fix File Ownership option.
- Log in to your Bluehost Portal.
- In the left-hand menu, click Websites.
- Click the Manage button located next to the website you want to manage.

- Select Files and Access from the horizontal menu. Then, navigate to the File Manager and click Manage. The File Manager will open in a new tab.

- From the File Manager, click on the file or folder for which you wish to change permissions.
- Click the Change Permissions icon at the top of the file manager.

- Choose the permissions you would like the file or folder to have.

- Click Change Permission to save the changes.
