• Via Fix File Ownership
• Via File Manager

Fix File Ownership

Follow the steps below to change the file permissions using the Fix File Ownership option.

1. Log in to your Bluehost Portal.
2. In the left-hand menu, click Websites.
3. Click the Manage button located next to the website you want to manage.

   
    

4. Select Files and Access from the horizontal menu, look for Fix File Ownership. Click Manage.

   

5. Click the tick box, and Confirm.

   

6. The files and folders' permissions will be restored to the default settings.

Via File Manager

Follow the steps below to change the file permissions using the Fix File Ownership option.

1. Log in to your Bluehost Portal.
2. In the left-hand menu, click Websites.
3. Click the Manage button located next to the website you want to manage.

   
    

4. Select Files and Access from the horizontal menu. Then, navigate to the File Manager and click Manage. The File Manager will open in a new tab.

   

5. From the File Manager, click on the file or folder for which you wish to change permissions.
