What makes Google Apps for Work different?
There are a number of reasons why Google Apps for Work is better with Bluehost. The biggest are: how simple it is to set up and configure with your chosen domain, fantastic phone and chat customer support (Google only offers support over email), managing billing from a single account, and a money-back guarantee if you choose to cancel.
Will this really help my business be more effective?
Google's studies showed a 40% improvement in efficiency for heavy email & calendar users when switching to Google Apps for Work.
Why should I pay for Google Apps for Work when Google offers similar products for free?
With Google Apps for Work, you'll receive a number of additional business-grade services not included in the free consumer product, including: professional email at your domain, additional storage across Gmail and Drive, 24/7 phone and email support, 99.9% guaranteed uptime, interoperability with Microsoft Outlook, enhanced security features, and full administration of all user accounts.
How does pricing and billing work?
The Google Apps for Work monthly rate is calculated to match the expiration date of the hosting account (up to a maximum of 12 months for hosting accounts with longer than 1-year terms). Google Apps can be canceled for a full refund within 5 days of purchase. At this time you must call into the Bluehost billing department to cancel the product.
If I only want one of the products, do I have to buy the entire suite?
Yes. Google Apps is designed as an all-in-one solution with integrated tools that work seamlessly together. The value of the suite is greater than the sum of the individual parts.
Is Google Apps compatible with the email client I use today?
Yes, absolutely. You can use either the IMAP or POP mail protocols in addition to the Gmail web interface that is provided. If you’re switching to Google Apps from Microsoft Exchange or an Outlook service, you can use Google Apps Sync. This is a plug-in for Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010 or 2013 that lets you use Outlook to manage your Google Apps mail, calendar and contacts—along with your Outlook notes, tasks and journal entries.
Will Google host my website and domain?
No. Google does not host websites or domains. However, in partnership with Bluehost, the union between work tools and hosting is complete and you have a one-stop shop for your business needs.
What level of support will Bluehost be providing?
Like all of our third-party products we will provide first tier support. This will be to help get customers setup, answer questions about the product, and some use support over time. More complicated issues will be escalated to the Google Apps support team.
Setup
Can I try Google Apps before I buy it?
At this time there is no trial version supported on the Bluehost platform. However, if you’re familiar with Gmail and Google Calendar, they function in much the same way. Moreover, Google Apps can also be canceled at any time for a prorated refund.
Can I use my own domain with Google Apps?
Yes. You can select any domain currently active and assigned to your Bluehost account (add-on, parked, etc) and use it with Google Apps for Work.
How long does it take to setup my account?
If your Bluehost name servers already configured, setup is very fast. Please note that logging into your account does not automatically log you into the Google Admin console. With the Google Admin console, you are given a chance to accept Google's terms of service and then are shown a Setup Wizard. This wizard features two easy steps with Bluehost to easily create accounts for your team and set up email.
What happens to my existing mail, contacts, and calendar data when I move to Google Apps?
When switching to Google Apps you and your users can bring your existing mail, contacts, and calendar data with you. You have a variety of options for migrating data into Google Apps, depending on the size of your organization and the system you’re migrating from. Tools are available for migration from Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, IMAP servers and other Google accounts.
Is it really worth the trouble of learning a new set of tools?
We often find that many employees are already using Google tools in their personal lives. This means they can quickly pick up the basics with little to no training when a company or organization switches to Google Apps for work.
Security
Who owns the data I put into Google Apps?
To put it simply, Google does not own your data. Google doesn’t take a position on whether data belongs to individual users or the institution that signed up for Google Apps. The data you put into our systems is yours. That means three key things: 1. Google won’t share your data with others except as noted in our Privacy Policy. 2. Google keeps your data as long as you require us to keep it. 3. You can take your data with you if you choose to use external services in conjunction with Google Apps or stop using Google services altogether.
Where does Google store my data?
Your data is stored in Google’s network of geographically distributed data centers.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Once a domain account is canceled, it cannot be re-established and retain access to email and data that was in the account previously. All data is lost.
Is my data safe from your other customers when it is running on the same servers?
Yes. Data is virtually protected as if it were on its own server.
How do you protect my organization from spam and viruses?
Google has one of the best spam blockers in the business, and it’s integrated into Google Apps for Work. Spam is purged every 30 days. They offer built-in virus checking and enforce checking of documents before allowing a user to download any message.
Can Google Apps support HIPAA Compliance?
For customers who are subject to the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Google Apps can support HIPAA compliance. Under HIPAA, certain information about a person’s health or health care services is classified as Protected Health Information (PHI). Google Apps customers who are subject to HIPAA and wish to use Google Apps with PHI must sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Google.
Management
Can I easily manage Google Apps for my business?
Customers can manage all of their hosting and Google Apps billing from a single account. It is as easy as adding and activating users on your account.
How do I add and manage my users?
The Google Admin console with is available to access anywhere you have an internet connection.
Can I grant administrator privileges to other users?
Yes, this feature is available within your control panel.
Can I manage multiple domains?
At this time Google Apps for Work is not supported on more than one domain name. This feature is slated to be supported in the future.
How do my MX records work with Google Apps for Work and regular cPanel email?
