The rate change reflects the costs associated with improving its platform, from upgrading its protection and security measures to optimizing authorization and conversion rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PayPal is also lowering its rates for its payment processing services to increase revenue and compete with other payment processors. The new rates will depend on the services used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PayPal&#8217;s rate change will affect the following services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>PayPal Digital Payments: <\/strong>Digital payments services which include Seller Protection such as PayPal Checkout, Pay with Venmo, PayPal Credit, Pay in 4, PayPal Pay with Rewards, and Checkout with Crypto, will charge <strong>3.49% + $0.49 <\/strong>per transaction.<\/li><li><strong>In-person Payments: <\/strong>Rates for in-person payments depend on the transaction amount and the medium used.
