A favicon (favorite icon) is a small icon that will appear in your website's browser tab. Adding a favicon helps to brand your website and makes it easy to identify for customers with multiple tabs open. The favicon is often your logo and should be 16x16 pixels. This article will explain how to add and change your favicon.

Adding a Favicon

To begin, you will need to access the Bluehost Builder Editor.

1. Click the Settings tab from the side navigation menu to the left.
2. From the menu that appears to the right, under the My site tab open Favicon.
3. Click the Click to upload favicon option.

   Tip: There are 3 ways to add images from your computer:

   • Unsplash tab - search or choose any images provided by the builder.
   • My images tab - choose from your existing gallery or image collection.
   • Click  + Add images button at the top right corner to pull up an image from the local directory of your computer's files.
4. Upload your image, and click Apply when finished.

Updating a Favicon

1. Click the Settings tab from the side navigation menu to the left.
2. From the menu that appears to the right, under the My site tab open Favicon.
3. Hover over the existing image; you will see two icons appear. Click the Image icon.
4. From the pop-up window that appears, click the My Images tab. 
5. Upload your new image, and Apply when finished.
