Text is one of the main features of any website. With Bluehost Builder, you can easily add text to any page or post. You can add effects, such as:

• Bolding 
• Italicizing
• Underlining

You will also be able to resize, add links, set alignment, change opacity, or update the color.

Adding Text

To begin, you will need to access your Bluehost Builder Editor. 

1. Open the page or post you wish to add text to.
2. Click the + (Add Section) icon, then choose Media/text or Text from the 'All categories' list to the left. 
3. Choose a template to add your text to. Filler text will be used as a placeholder to give you an idea of where and how your text will appear. 
4. Highlight the filler text, then begin typing or pasting your text in to replace the placeholder content. 
5. Format your text as needed.

Editing Text

To edit your text at any time, simply highlight the text you would like to update. The text toolbar should appear above your highlighted text. You can use the text toolbar or the Text menu to the left to format your text.

From the text toolbar, you can add effects and links to, resize, and change the color of your text.

Adding Effects

Use the B, I, and U icons to Bold, Italicize, or Underline your text.

Click the 'chainlink' icons to add or remove links. For more information on adding links, please see Bluehost Builder - How to Add Links.

Resizing Text

You will see a percentage on the toolbar. This indicates the current zoom on your text. Use the - and + icons to either side of the percentage to zoom out or in.

Changing Color

Click on the A icon to the far right of the toolbar to view and choose from available colors. Available colors will depend on the color scheme you choose. For more information on changing your color scheme, please see Bluehost Builder - How to Update Theme Style.

Text Side Menu

The Text or Media/text side menu will appear to the right of your screen. If you do not see it, you may need to move your mouse to the far right of your screen to pop it out. These settings are more Section settings than Text settings, but you can set alignment here and control what elements appear in your section.

Set Alignment

Under Layout settings, click on the Content alignment setting, and choose your preferred alignment. 

Updates will reflect within your Bluehost Builder immediately; however, you should still Save or Publish your site when finished.
