How To Create An Email Forwarder Alias - What Is Email Forwarder Alias

Overview

Forwarders allow you to forward an email to a different email address or more than one person. These can be created from your cPanel or from within your Webmail account.



Before proceeding to the instruction below, please take note that Legacy accounts will feature a horizontal navigation bar at the top of the screen, while Bluerock account users will see a vertical navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen. Access the Email Manager Forwarding Page (cPanel)

  1. Log in to your Bluehost control panel.
  2. For the Bluerock account, click the Advanced tab from the side navigation to the left

    For the Legacy account, click the Email tab at the top of the account.

  3. Under the Email section, click the Forwarders option.

Access the Email Manager Forwarding Page (Webmail)

If you are already logged into Webmail:

  1. Click the Webmail Home button on the top right-hand corner.
  2. Under Manage your inbox section, click the Forwarders section.

Email Account Forwarders

Email Account forwarders will forward all emails from one email account to another.

  1. Click the Add Forwarder button.

  2. Choose the destination for the forwarded email.
  3. Enter the address inside the destination box.
  4. Click Add Forwarder button.

Email Domain Forwarders

Domain Forwarders will forward all emails from one domain name to another. Domain forwarders only forward email when the system cannot deliver it to an address or autoresponder.

Bluerock

  1. Make sure you are in the Forwarders section under the Email & Office tab.
  2. Click the ▼ icon underneath the Managing section, then choose the preferred domain from the drop-down menu that appears.
  3. Click the Add Domain Forwarder button.

  4. Click the ▼ icon underneath the Domain and choose the specific domain you would like to be forwarded.
  5. Enter the destination for the forwarded email.
  6. Click the Add Domain Forwarder button.

Legacy

  1. Make sure you are in the Forwarding section under the email tab.

  2. Scroll down and look for the Forward All Email for Domain section.
  3. Click the add domain forwarder button.

  4. Choose the domain you would like to be forwarded by clicking the ▼ icon.
  5. Enter the destination for the forwarded email.
  6. Click the Submit.
