How to Search MySQL Databases in phpMyAdmin

PhpMyAdmin is a PHP-based web tool that aids in the administration of MySQL. It offers an easy-to-use graphical interface that simplifies the management of your databases, tables, fields, and relationships. Follow the steps below to find or search for MySQL Databases in phpMyAdmin.

Learn how to find data in phpMyAdmin:

1. Log in to your Bluehost Account Manager.
2. Click the Hosting tab on the left menu. Click MANAGE for the package you want to manage. If you only have one hosting account, proceed to step 3.
   
3. Look for the Quick Links tile, then click the CPANEL button.
   
4. Under the Databases section, select phpMyAdmin.
   
5. Select a database you want to search by clicking on the database in the left column.
6. Once inside the database, a list of tables will appear. Click on the Search tab.
   
7. You can search by keyword in phpMyAdmin. Each keyword is preferably separated by a comma.
8. Select which way you want to search by ticking the radio button:
   • At least one of the words
   • All words
   • The exact phrase as substring
   • The exact phrase as whole field
   • As regular expression
9. Select which tables you want to search within. You can search for multiple tables in phpMyAdmin:
   • Select them all
   • Select some of them (Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while clicking to select more than one table.)
   • Select one
10. You can search a specific column in phpMyAdmin if you know exactly which one you want to search.
11. Press the Go button or click Enter.
12. It will now display the results based on the table.
13. Click on Browse next to one of the tables to view the results.
    

The records matching your search will be displayed on the screen, and you can interact with them in various ways, such as copying, editing, or deleting.
