Q: How long will it take for my website to appear in the main search engines?

A: There is not an exact time period for websites to start appearing in Search Engine results. It could vary from a couple of days to a month, and some website owners report even longer times. However, there are certain actions you can take in order to make your site more friendly to search engines focusing on its content and the technical aspects, which are exactly what we will guide you through when you use Bluehost SEO Tools.


Q: How do I set up my keywords? Do I have any help from you to select the correct keywords for my business/site?

A: You can easily set up your keywords by using the KEYWORDS configuration tool. On the upper right side of the tool, you can find the link to start. Insert a keyword in the search field on the left. By clicking on Search, you will get some recommendations about other related keywords that can also be used as an alternative.


Q: Can I change the keywords I set at the beginning?

A: Yes, you can change your keywords whenever you want from the top bar —> Settings Menu—> Manage Keywords. We recommend doing this once you have finished optimizing a keyword on the selected target page.


Q: How many keywords am I allowed to add?

A: If you have chosen the Start package, you can add 1 Keyword and up to 15 keywords if your choice is the Pro package.


Q: How effective are your services to help us with SEO and gain more hits for our website?

Q: I would like to optimize my web for 2 countries. Can I do this under the same account?

A: No, you need two packages/products, one for each country. The reason is that to get rankings, suggestions, etc., that the tool provides, you have to target a specific market/country.


Q: I don’t know who my competitors are. What happens then?

A: Don´t worry about this; the tool gives you competitor suggestions. You have to click on the right top corner of the tool Settings —> Edit Competitors to find suggestions. We strongly suggest adding at least one competitor to track your performance compared to the competitor..


Q: Why does a dash ‘-’ appear next to keywords I select, under “Volume”?

A: This may be because the search volume is too low for us to gather accurate data on that keyword. Be sure to try keyword phrases with 3 to 4 words, e.g., “home builders in Austin,” and check the ‘Keywords we have found for you’ tab for keywords that will be easier to improve your ranking on.


Q: What kind of Customer Support do I receive?

A: The user’s e-mail can’t be changed because it is the basic requirement associated with each user account. In this case, contact Websplanet support - they will guide you through you creating a new account for the new e-mail and the same domain. We may transfer the domain metrics but not progress in the tool.


Q: I want to change the domain I am optimizing; how do I do this?

A: Every subscription is based on a certain domain and can't be changed to a new domain. This is because historical data and progress are no longer valid for the new domain, as the new website will have different backlinks, different social KPIs, and different keyword rankings. This is not our policy. It's Google and every search engine! As they crawl every website, they will count your website with a new domain as a new page. You need to do is to cancel the old subscription and create a new one with the new domain. Don't worry about what you have already paid; it won't mean extra cost. We'll do it internally. And if you are concerned that your progress is going to be lost, it won't be like that. Say you have optimized a page for a given keyword; well, if this remains the same, our crawler won't open again that certain task.
