There are more than 50 blocks available in the Gutenberg editor. Visibility settings let you restrict who can see your published content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So what\u2019s the difference between a post and a page on WordPress?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Posts are used to share topical blog content, like informative guides or news. They\u2019re typically displayed in chronological order on a website\u2019s blog section. Posts are added to websites more often than pages are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WordPress pages are used to share evergreen content, like a biography or company story on an about page. Other examples of common WordPress pages are homepages, contact pages, and pages describing services. While WordPress pages are updated when necessary, the number of pages on a WordPress website doesn\u2019t fluctuate much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how you can use the Gutenberg Block Editor to publish a page or post on WordPress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-open-the-publishing-settings-menu\">1. Open the Publishing Settings Menu<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you are ready to publish your page or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/article\/223023\">blog post<\/a>, use the <strong>Document<\/strong> tab in the right sidebar to select publishing settings. Select Your Publishing Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From this view, you can select a publication date and time, post author, featured image, and tags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having the ability to select a <strong>publication date<\/strong> and time means that you can schedule content to be published in the future. This feature frees you from having to manually click \u201cpublish\u201d whenever you need a timely piece of content to go live on your website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>featured image<\/strong> is used in two ways. In a blog or gallery, featured images can accompany pages or posts and help them stand out or describe their contents. You can still revert back to using the Classic Editor which will be available as a plugin for you to install on your WordPress website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-go-to-the-plugins-directory\">1.
