How To Add Images and How To Upload Images to WordPress Posts and Pages

Adding an Image on the Post or Page

Add images at any time to any part of your posts or pages on your WordPress site.

Note: All common file types are accepted, such as JPG, PNG, and GIF.

  1. To add an image, go to the page or post where you want to insert an image or picture.
  2. Place your cursor on the section of the page where you would like the image to go. Next, click the plus sign + icon.
  3. Under Blocks selection, scroll down to Media, then select Image.

    • You can use an image you have already uploaded to your media library already, making it easier and faster to locate.

    • Or, you can upload a new image from your computer anytime.

    • You can also link an image using a URL.

Uploading an Image on Media Library

You can add and upload multiple images all at once so they are readily available to use on a blog post or website. This shows how to upload multiple images to wordpress media library.

  1. To begin, click Media on the left-hand navigation menu bar in your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Select Add New.

  3. Once you click Add New button, it will allow you to drag and drop the files to upload or click on Select Files.

    Note: Maximum upload of single file size is 512 MB.

  4. After uploading the files, click on Library to view the uploaded images.
