Marketplace: How to Uninstall an Application

Softaculous provides easy one-click management of the web's top applications, and this article will show you how to uninstall an application using the Marketplace installer.



Accessing the Marketplace installer

This will permanently delete this installation. This includes any files installed, as well as any database tables. Additional themes, plugins, modules, cache files, etc., will be left behind.

Bluerock

  1. Log in to your Bluehost control panel.
  2. Click the Advanced tab from the side navigation menu to the left.
  3. Scroll down and locate the Software section.
  4. Select the Softaculous Apps Installer.

Legacy

  1. Log in to your Bluehost control panel.
  2. Scroll down and locate the Website section.
  3. Click on the My Installs.

Once you're in, click the All Installs icon from the upper right-hand corner.

Automatic Removal

This will permanently remove all the files and databases. User-installed themes, plugins, modules, cache files, etc., will not be removed.

  1. Under Script Installations, click on the checkbox of the website you want to remove.
  2. Down below on the drop-down menu, select Remove Completely.
  3. Click the Go button to proceed.

Remove from the List

This option does not touch your files or database; it only removes this installation from our records.

If you use Remove from Softaculous, the application is still installed and, if not updated, could be vulnerable to hackers.

  1. Click on the checkbox of the website you want to remove from the list.
  2. Select Remove from Softaculous on the drop-down menu.
  3. Then click the Go button to proceed.
