What Happens if I Don’t Renew My Hosting?
If you don't renew your web hosting plan, your website will go offline. This means that visitors won't be able to access it. But that's not all. When your hosting plan expires, you may also lose any data or files stored on the server. This could include important information, website backups, or customer data. Therefore, it's important to renew your hosting plan on time to avoid disruptions to your website and ensure your visitors can continue to access it. Please don't wait until the last minute to renew your plan, as it could take some time for your website to come back online after it's been taken down.
What Happens if I Don’t Renew My Domain Name?
It's important to renew your domain name to avoid it from expiring and becoming available for someone else to register. A domain name goes through four stages: active, expired, redemption grace period, and pending delete. The first stage is when your domain name is active, and you have full control. Your website is up and running, and you can make any changes. However, if you fail to renew it, the domain name will expire, but you can still renew your domain name within 45 days of its expiration. If you miss this time frame, the domain name will enter the redemption grace period. You must pay a fee if you want to restore your domain name during the redemption period. This fee cannot be waived or refunded. If you fail to renew during this period again, the domain name will go into the pending delete stage. At this point, your domain name can no longer be retrieved. You will receive a notification to delete the record and make it available for public registration. After that, you can try to repurchase the domain name.
