How to Move a Domain to Another Bluehost Account

Moving a domain between Bluehost accounts is a straightforward process, provided the domain is registered with Bluehost’s domain registrars. This guide walks you through each step to move a domain to another Bluehost account, ensuring a smooth and secure transfer.

Before you begin

  • The domain must be registered with Bluehost.
  • You must have access to both the source and destination Bluehost accounts.
  • The transfer request must be authorized within 14 days.

Move a Domain to Another Bluehost Account

  1. Log in to your Bluehost Portal.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Domains.

    • If you have one domain in your account, you will be taken directly to the domain management panel.

    • If you have multiple domains in your account, click the domain you wish to manage to access the domain management panel.

  1. Click the Move & Access tab.

  2. Under Move to another account, click Move Accounts.

  3. Select the destination account where you want to move the domain.

  4. Click Continue.
  5. Review the details, then click Move to submit the request.

Authorize the Transfer

  • You will receive an email authorization request.
  • You must approve the transfer within 14 days.
  • Once approved, the domain will be successfully moved to the destination Bluehost account.
