Pre-checks Before Moving a Domain to Another Account

When moving a domain name to another account, certain conditions must be met to ensure a smooth transition. The following factors can prevent a successful domain account move:

How to Move a Domain to Another Account

Once you have completed the pre-checks, follow the steps below on how to move a domain to another account:

1. Login to your Bluehost Account Manager.
2. Select the Domains tab on the left menu.
   
   • If you have only one domain in your account, clicking the Domains tab in the left-hand menu will immediately display the Domains panel.
   • If you have multiple domains in your account, click the domain you need to manage to access its management panel. Alternatively, you can use the Search box to find the domain name you wish to manage.
     
3. Go to the Move & Access tab.
   
   1. Alternately, in the Overview tab, you can scroll down to the Transfer or Move Domain section.
      
   2. Then, click MOVE DOMAIN under the Move to another account Section.
      
4. Under the Move to another account section, click MOVE ACCOUNTS.
   
5. Then, select the account where you want to move the domain name and click CONTINUE.
   
6. Lastly, once you have confirmed the details, click MOVE to move the domain to your selected account.
