If you’re an e-commerce or a service-based website, there might be a chance that you may not always be able to list the price. At a time like this, a request to quote button comes in handy.
In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to add a ‘request a quote’ button for your WooCommerce store.
Before we begin to guide you let us first see what kind of websites need the request a quote button.
Need for Request a Quote Button
There might be some website where listing the price for the product or service offered might vary from customer to customer.
For instance, if you are a store selling custom-made clothing you can list the types and prices of the fabrics available. However, every customer will require a different size of dress, the style of stitching and design will vary, and so on. That is to say, the amount of fabric and other decorative materials used will be different, and thus, the prices will be different based on the customer’s requirements.
Similarly, if you’re a web design company or a custom furniture store then again, your prices will vary depending on your customer’s requirements.
At a time like this, customers may get in touch with you via chat, email or telephone. Although this is a feasible option, as your business continues to grow, separating each customer from another might be difficult and might even result in the interchanging of orders.
To avoid such a scenario adding a ‘request a quote’ button is the best way ahead. This way whenever a customer requests your quote their information is stored in a different section and can help avoid mix-ups.
