Website Migration Services
What's Included?
- Full Website Transfer—Full Website Transfer—We securely move your entire website, including all files and databases, to your new hosting plan. Email IS NOT included.
- Site Review and Testing—After migration, you can preview your website via a Direct URL to ensure everything functions correctly.
- Speed and Reliability—Our team works efficiently to get your site live on the new server as quickly as possible.
- One Website Per Service—Each Website Transfer Service covers one website. If you need to migrate multiple websites, additional services must be purchased.
Website Migration Requirements
- An active hosting plan with us (e.g., Shared Hosting, Virtual Private Server, Dedicated Server, WP Pro, WooCommerce).
Note:
- Bluehost now provides migration assistance for VPS or Dedicated Server accounts. This service does not also include domain name registration transfer. Our system's security requirements may modify some email account passwords.
- Bluehost migrations are now a one-to-one service. One site is migrated per service purchased, and email is not included.
- Access to hosting control panel (cPanel, SSH, or FTP credentials).
- Complete backups via Dropbox or Google Drive (if applicable).
- Do not update DNS settings or transfer your domain until migration is completed.
Note: Do not close your hosting accounts or change your website. Changes made during the transfer may not be preserved. Throughout the migration process, your website and email should remain accessible and functional.
Time Frame and Limitations
- Standard migrations take 2-4 business days, depending on the complexity and size of the transfer.
- Large data transfers (above 3GB) may take longer.

- Price: $149.99 per website migration, which includes transferring one website.
- DNS Update: Our expert team will provide the information and steps needed for DNS updates to finalize your migration and make your site live.
Important: Our expert team does not perform DNS updates ourselves, as we typically don’t have control over your DNS settings. If you need assistance, our support teams can help.
How to Request for Site Migration within the Account Manager
To avail of our migration services, you can follow the steps below:
- Login to your Bluehost Account Manager.
- In the left navigation menu, look for the MARKETPLACE section below.
- Under the Marketplace details page, scroll down to find the Migration section. Select Site Migration by clicking the CLAIM OFFER button.
- Check the box to choose the payment method you want to use, and then click the BUY NOW button below.
Email Migration Services
What's Included?
- Standard Webmail Migration—We transfer one (1) mailbox for each service purchased from your old mail provider to your Bluehost account (Webmail, Professional Email, or Google Workspace) you purchased through us.
- Google Workspace Migration—We can migrate individual mailboxes if you use Google Workspace (formerly GSuite).
Pricing and Limitations
- Standard Webmail Migration: $99 per mailbox.
- Google Workspace Migration: $99 per mailbox.
- Not Included:
- Bulk email migration (requires multiple purchases)
- Email client imports (e.g., PST files)
- IMAP accounts that are actively syncing
- These may not be included:
- Calendars
- Contacts
- Regardless of the source, these will not be migrated:
- Autoresponders
- Mailing lists;
- Email rules and filtering
How to Request for Email Migration within the Account Manager
- Login to your Bluehost Account Manager.
