It’s official: WordCamp US 2025 is happening August 26–29, 2025, and this year it’s heading to Portland, Oregon, and yes, Bluehost will be there. As proud, longtime supporters of the WordPress community, we’re excited to sponsor this year’s flagship event. WordCamp US brings together developers, designers, creators, and contributors from around the world to talk open source, share what’s next, and shape the future of the web.
Why WordCamp matters
WordCamp isn’t your typical tech conference. It’s grassroots, community-driven, and packed with ideas you can actually use. Expect real conversations, actionable sessions, and hands-on time with the people who power WordPress, including us.
We’ll be at the event all four days, ready to:
- Talk shop about performance, hosting, and the WordPress ecosystem
- Share how Bluehost is helping users build faster, smarter websites
- Offer sneak peeks of upcoming tools and features
- Hand out swag you’ll actually want to keep

Don’t miss out the super informative sessions
WordCamp US 2025 has a solid lineup this year, practical talks on website security, content strategy, and making WordPress work better for e-commerce.
It’s the kind of advice that helps you solve real problems, not just take notes.
Several industry experts will be sharing their knowledge at the event. Notable sessions include:
Evan Mullins, Senior Software Engineer at Bluehost, will be speaking on “Contributing by Testing WordPress”, where he will discuss what testing is and why it is done. The types of testing in WordPress and an overview of each: Automated testing (unit and end-to-end tests), User testing (how to get involved in testing patches and giving feedback to move the project along), and Beta testing (testing during release cycles and calls for testing).
Seth Rubenstein will speak on “Block Composability: The Past and The Future”, where he will dive into Block Composability, a powerful concept that enables the creation of rich, interactive content using blocks, making advanced web development.
Dennis Ploetner will speak on, “Improving WordPress Multisite: Simplifying Features and Enhancing the User Experience.” This session will break down the core concepts of Multisite into simple, manageable parts.
James LePage will give a talk on “Core AI: What We’re Building.” It’s a group presentation from the Core AI team on what they are building. Progress since the team formation, next steps, implementation examples, and an open Q&A.
Bud Kraus will be speaking on, “Using Low Vision As My Tool To Help Me Teach WordPress.” With all the talk about the importance of making WordPress Accessible, how does someone with low vision teach and work with WordPress? Bud will share the tools and techniques he has used for years as a WordPress instructor at Pratt Institute, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and elsewhere in New York City.
Arnas Donauskas will be talking on, “Fixing and Optimizing websites with AI.” This talk explores how AI can be used to automatically fix detected website errors and boost overall site performance.
Elijah Potter will be discussing “Your Words, Your Brain, Your Device: Democratizing Writing Assistance with ML at the Edge”. This talk will explore how we can use AI to democratize writing too. More importantly, how can you train and deploy specialized models at the edge to eliminate inference costs, lower latency, and improve user satisfaction.
