Why WordCamps matter

WordCamps are much more than tech events; they are platforms where the WordPress community gathers to exchange ideas, collaborate, and grow. These gatherings create a space where attendees—from developers to designers and bloggers—can find inspiration, gain new skills, and connect with like-minded people.

Whether it’s learning about the latest WordPress features or finding actionable strategies for your next project, WordCamps reminds us that WordPress thrives on the energy of its community.

Bluehost at WordCamp Delhi 2024

Bluehost, a Platinum Sponsor, brought its A-game to WordCamp Delhi this year. The team engaged with attendees at the Center Stage, hosted insightful sessions, and connected with the WordPress community at their booth. With a focus on Managed WordPress Hosting, Bluehost aimed to simplify website management for attendees and provide practical solutions for scaling and securing their projects.

Visitors to the Bluehost booth didn’t just leave with swag but with tailored advice and actionable takeaways for their WordPress journey.

Center stage highlights

Bluehost made the most of their Center Stage slots by hosting insightful interactions that brought the WordPress community together. Attendees got the chance to learn, share, and walk away with useful insights. But that wasn’t all—Bluehost’s giveaways were the talk of the day, as they handed out cool swag to participants who joined the conversation.

The excitement of the raffle

Bluehost went the extra mile by hosting a special raffle for attendees. The grand prize? AirPods that had everyone buzzing with excitement! From developers to bloggers, everyone participated, making the raffle a highlight of WordCamp Delhi. It wasn’t just about the prizes—it was about connecting with attendees, understanding their hosting needs, and building meaningful relationships.

Our team at WordCamp Delhi

WordCamp Delhi was an exciting opportunity for us to connect with the WordPress community. Five members from our team actively participated, with two of them contributing in special roles—as an organizer and a volunteer.

  • Diwanshu Joshi – Engineering Manager
  • Shreya Bharadwaj – Senior Manager, Marketing
  • Ritu Priya – Senior Specialist, Marketing. She is also part of the organizing team, helping make the event a success.
  • Amartya Gaur – Software Engineer. He is also a volunteer, contributing to several activities.
  • Allen Benny – Software Engineer

It was great to see our team engaging with the WordPress community, learning, sharing ideas, and being part of such a wonderful event.

Standout sessions and speakers

WordCamp Delhi 2024 offered an impressive lineup of speakers and sessions that touched on everything from emerging tech to community-building strategies. One of our team members also got the wonderful opportunity to speak:

Amartya Gaur, Software engineer, Bluehost, spoke on, “Mastering Gutenberg blocks: From basics to building your own.” He delved into the world of Gutenberg blocks, starting with the fundamental concepts and gradually progressing to hands-on block creation.

While the full list of sessions will make you wish you were there, a few highlights included:

Dr. Govind: “The untold story of Indian internet” captivated the audience with stories of how .in transformed the Indian digital landscape.

Amitabh Singhal: A nostalgic yet forward-looking talk on “The evolution of internet infrastructure: from dial-up to 5G and beyond.

Md Abdullah Al Fahad spoke on, “Managing sessions & cookies in WordPress.” He talked about using sessions and cookies to help create personalized and seamless user experiences, reduce repetitive tasks like re-logging in, and enable dynamic functionalities such as shopping carts and user-specific content.

Nikhilesh Tayal talked about, “Building multi-AI agent system.” He discussed what AI Agents are, why they are gaining popularity, common misconceptions about them, AI agentic patterns, & multi-agent AI systems.

Community spirit at its best

Beyond the sessions, the event embodied the true spirit of WordPress. Conversations flowed freely, partnerships were forged, and the WordPress community left the venue feeling a little more connected. Volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly, while sponsors like Bluehost created opportunities for engagement and learning.

Looking forward

WordCamp Delhi 2024 was a testament to the city’s energy and WordPress’s wonderful spirit. As the curtains close on this incredible event, the lessons learned, stories shared, and bonds formed will fuel the journey until the next gathering.

See you next year! 💙
