Why WordCamps matter

WordCamps are much more than tech conferences. They’re a place where ideas take shape, challenges find solutions, and connections become collaborations. No matter your level of experience—whether you’re just starting out with WordPress or are a seasoned developer—WordCamps provide an inclusive environment for everyone to learn and grow.

The sessions go beyond technical details. You’ll find talks about solving real-world problems, improving user experience, and building stronger digital products. Workshops allow you to roll up your sleeves and try new things, while panel discussions help uncover diverse perspectives and practical solutions. What truly sets WordCamps apart is the community spirit—these events foster relationships that extend far beyond the two days. When you attend, you’re not just gaining knowledge; you’re becoming part of a supportive network of like-minded people.

Contributor Day: A moment to give back

WordCamp Malaysia began with Contributor Day on November 22, a day dedicated to giving back to the WordPress project. Attendees joined teams working on core development, translations, documentation, and more. It was inspiring to see people coming together, rolling up their sleeves, and actively contributing to making WordPress better for everyone.

We’re grateful that one of our team members, Arun Shenoy, had the wonderful opportunity to lead the Polyglot table. It’s always rewarding to see our team contribute to the community and share their expertise in such meaningful ways.

Bluehost at WordCamp Malaysia 2024

As a Gold Sponsor, Bluehost was excited to be part of this wonderful event. At our booth, we introduced two of our latest tools: AI Site Creator and Bluehost Cloud. These offerings are built to make website creation and hosting easier for everyone.

One of the highlights of the day was the live demo of our AI Site Creator. It was amazing to see the interest and curiosity from attendees as they explored how the tool works. Watching them experience just how simple and quick creating a website can be truly rewarding.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and made the day so special!

Meet our team

Our team, Ritu Priya and Arun Shenoy, enjoyed connecting with attendees to discuss their WordPress challenges and goals. The conversations were not only insightful but also a reminder of how Bluehost can play a role in empowering WordPress users. And yes, our swag was a hit, bringing smiles to many faces throughout the event!

Event highlights: Sessions that made an impact

The variety of sessions meant there was something for everyone. Here are some of the standout moments:
