WordCamp Pune 2024 recently brought together the WordPress community in the culturally rich and technologically vibrant city of Pune. Held on February 17th, 2024, at the MCCIA Trade Tower, this event was a melting pot of ideas, creativity, and collaboration.  

Developers, designers, and entrepreneurs from various backgrounds came together to share their experiences, insights, and innovations in the world of WordPress. The event was a celebration of WordPress’s power to connect and empower individuals worldwide. 

The importance of WordCamps 

WordCamps are the heartbeat of the WordPress community. These events serve as a platform for learning, networking, and collaboration, fostering growth and innovation within the ecosystem. They bring together a diverse group of individuals, all united by their passion for WordPress, offering opportunities to gain insights, share knowledge, and learn from one another. Beyond technical learning, WordCamps are instrumental in building lasting relationships within the community.

Bluehost at WordCamp Pune

Diverse workshops for hands-on learning 

Each session at WordCamp Pune was carefully curated to offer a broad spectrum of learning opportunities, catering to a wide range of interests and skill levels within the WordPress community. Attendees left with expanded knowledge, new skills, and a deeper appreciation for the versatility and power of WordPress. 

How to Write an About Page (and Asking the Right Questions) workshop was facilitated by Ritu Priya, Sr. Specialist, Brand Marketing at Bluehost, along with Devin Maeztri and Ashutosh Gaur. The workshop was designed to transform the way you think about creating your website’s About page. 

Building a Page with Full Site Editor (FSE) workshop was facilitated by Arun Shenoy, Software Engineer at Bluehost, alongside Swapnil Deshpande and Joel Abreo. The workshop introduced participants to the innovative Full Site Editor in WordPress. 

WordCamp Pune 2024 featured more notable sessions that captivated the audience: 

All About Accessibility by Sathish Kumar, Anoosha Reddy Terala, and Rashmi Katakwar provided an enlightening look into making web content accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. 

An Introduction to WP CLI & Custom Commands by Abhishek Deshpande, Ajit Bohra, and Makarand G. Mane was a deep dive into the WordPress Command Line Interface (WP CLI).
