Repairing a Broken Database in Account Manager
A broken website database can lead to downtime and data loss, often caused by corrupted files, misconfigurations, or server issues. You can diagnose and repair these errors using database tools in Account Manager to restore functionality quickly.
If you encounter the following error, you can quickly resolve it by using the database tool available in your Account Manager.
Checking Your Database
- Log in to your Bluehost Account Manager.
- Navigate to the Websites tab on the left side of your Account Manager dashboard and select the website you are working on.
Another way is to navigate to the Hosting tab and click the MANAGE button to select the hosting package you're working on.
- Once you locate your website, click Settings.
- Under the ADVANCED tab, look for the Databases card and click its MANAGE button.
- Here, you can now access your Databases Management panel.
- From this section, choose the database name you're experiencing issues with by verifying the associated Site.
- Once you locate the database associated with your website, click the vertical ellipsis icon and then select Check Database.
- If the process is successful, a green check mark icon will be displayed.
Repairing Your Databases
The diagnostic process will pinpoint the issue. If the result shows "Issues were detected. Repair recommended," proceed with the steps below to address it.
- Choose the database name you're experiencing issues with by verifying the associated Site.
- Locate the database linked to your website, click the vertical ellipsis icon, and then choose Repair Database.
- If the repair process is successful, a green check mark icon will be displayed.
- If a red exclamation point icon is still displayed, consider the following options below:
