How to Access and Manage Your Self‑Managed VPS

This guide walks you through how to access your Self‑Managed VPS and navigate key server management features from your Bluehost account.

Access Your Self-Managed VPS from the Hosting Tab

  1. Log in to your Bluehost Portal.
  2. Click on the Hosting tab. Hosting tab
  3. From the Hosting page, you’ll see a complete overview of your VPS server, including: Self-Managed VPS  sever information
    1. VPS plan
    2. Disk storage
    3. Server status
    4. IP address
    5. Server image
  4. Use Quick Server actions - you can quickly perform essential server actions: Quick Server Actions
    • Reboot Server – Restart your VPS
    • Power Off – Shut down your server
    • Launch Console – Access your server directly
  5. Click View Details - here, you’ll find additional server information such as: Additional server information
    • Hostname
    • Data center location
    • Option to reset your root password.

Access the Server Management Panel

  1. Click the Manage button. This opens your full server management panel. Manage button
  2. Server Overview and License tabs:
    • Under the Overview tab, you can:  Overview tab
      1. View your current Server Image (operating system and installed application)
      2. Server Disk Storage and Server Status
      3. Also, use Quick Server Actions (Reboot & Power Off server and Launch Console).
      4. If you need to change your server setup:
        1. Click Reimage. Reimage button
        2. Select from the available Operating Systems and Applications. Plain OS Application
    • Under the License tab. license tab
      • From here, you can view and manage the cPanel license associated with your VPS.
