PHP Module Compatibility with Hosting Packages

We get a lot of questions regarding our shared hosting packages and what PHP modules they support. These modules are installed on all servers (Linux and Windows). Learn more about PHP module compatibility with Hosting Packages.

Note: VPS and Dedicated servers have fewer restrictions in regard to requesting and/or applying modules. If you are interested in upgrading your Shared Hosting account, check out our VPS or sign up for a Dedicated server.

PHP Module Support Across Hosting Types

Modules included will depend on the version of PHP you are using. Please see cPanel's documentation for detailed information.

Important:

PHP 8.1 version is the minimum version available on Shared platforms.
Support does not install PHP Versions or Modules upon customer request on shared platforms.
Support does install PHP versions or modules upon customer request on VPS/dedicated platforms if it's supported by cPanel (i.e., inside the EasyApache4 interface).
