Bluehost Unauthorized Signup and Stolen Credit Card

Unauthorized Charges

We recommend that you avoid giving out your complete credit card number to anyone unless you are purchasing from someone authorized to take payments for your security. Providing us with the following information will help us find the charge in our system, cancel the offending account, and prevent future charges:

For all unauthorized charges:

  • Your first and last name.
  • The amount of the charge.
  • The date of the charge.

Credit Card specific charges:

  • The first and last four digits (only) of the credit card (e.g., 1234-XXXX-XXXX-5678.)
  • Card type.
  • Card expiration date.
  • Currency type.

PayPal specific charges:

  • PayPal ID for the transaction in question.
  • PayPal email address.

Summary

If you notice any unauthorized or fraudulent charges to your credit card or PayPal, Bluehost will promptly refund all unauthorized charges and close the offending account. To resolve the issue, contact Bluehost support and provide the requested information for faster assistance. Remember, Bluehost will never require your full credit card number to address billing issues.
