How to Access the Websites Security Tab

1. Log in to your Bluehost Portal.
2. In the left-hand menu, click Websites.
3. Click the Manage button located next to the website you want to manage.

   
    

4. Once you're in the website management page, click the Security tab.

   
    

Within the Security tab, you have access to the following tools and options:

• SSL Certificates - This section allows you to view and manage the status of your SSL certificate. Click the three-dot (ellipsis) menu to access the following options:

  
   

  • View SSL Logs - Review log details related to your SSL certificate.
  • Generate CSR - Create a Certificate Signing Request for a new SSL.
  • Upload SSL - Manually upload an SSL certificate to your site.
     
• SSL Manager - Click Manage to open the SSL Manager, where you can further configure, renew, or assign SSL certificates to your domains.

  
   

• SiteLock - Use this section to add or manage SiteLock services if you’ve already purchased a SiteLock plan. SiteLock helps protect your website from malware, vulnerabilities, and other threats.

  
   

  
   

• Check Core WordPress Files - This tool scans your WordPress core files, which are essential for your site’s functionality.

  
   

  Run this check if:

  • Your WordPress admin dashboard is not loading properly.
  • You are encountering unexpected errors or functionality issues.
  • You want to verify that core files have not been altered or corrupted.
     
• IP Blocker - The IP Blocker lets you control access to your website by adding or removing IP addresses from your blocklist.

  
   

• Hotlink Protection - Hotlink Protection prevents other websites from directly linking to your images or files, helping conserve bandwidth and protect your content.
