How to configure KMail

Follow the steps below to set up your email account in KMail.

1. Open KMail, click Settings, then select Configure KMail.
2. Click Identity and enter your name and your full email address, making sure it is spelled correctly.
3. Go to Accounts or Network, then under the Receiving tab, click Add.
4. Enter your incoming mail details:
   • Account Name / Login: Your full email address
   • Host: mail.example.com (replace example.com with your domain name)
5. Click OK to save the incoming mail settings.
6. While still in Accounts or Network, switch to the Sending tab and click Add.
7. Enter your outgoing mail (SMTP) settings:
   • Protocol: SMTP
   • Host: mail.example.com (replace example.com with your domain name)
   • Enable Server requires authentication, if available
8. Click OK, then click OK again to close the settings window.
9. Your email account is now ready to send and receive messages in KMail.
