How to configure KMail
Follow the steps below to set up your email account in KMail.
- Open KMail, click Settings, then select Configure KMail.
- Click Identity and enter your name and your full email address, making sure it is spelled correctly.
- Go to Accounts or Network, then under the Receiving tab, click Add.
- Enter your incoming mail details:
- Account Name / Login: Your full email address
- Host:
mail.example.com(replace example.com with your domain name)
- Click OK to save the incoming mail settings.
- While still in Accounts or Network, switch to the Sending tab and click Add.
- Enter your outgoing mail (SMTP) settings:
- Protocol: SMTP

mail.example.com(replace example.com with your domain name) - Enable Server requires authentication, if available
- Click OK, then click OK again to close the settings window.
- Your email account is now ready to send and receive messages in KMail.
